The great thing about top decorator Martyn Lawrence Bullard is that he is able to flex his design muscles to create rooms that are anywhere from classic and traditional to glamorous and contemporary to exotic and unexpected while injecting them with his own signature elan. The result is always inspired and inspirational. Bullard, though already a highly sought after decorator, rose to international fame with the reality show Million Dollar Decorators where we saw him designing the homes of Sharon Osbourne and Daisy Fuentes. (I am still crushing on that blown-up photo of a gorgeous and hauntingly beautiful room in Havana he installed in Fuentes’s home.) With the success of that show, a new season will air at the end of the year, Bullard is set to conquer British television as well with a new series in his home country. Other than his design projects and TV gigs, he’s written a book entitled Live, Love & Decorate and he also has home furnishings and accessories lines.

Below, the design maestro shares the Five Things He Cannot Live Without…

1. Vetiver cologne by Guerlain . My personal fragrance since I was 15.

2. Cashmere throws, my absolute must-have at home for cozy nights tucked up watching a good movie.

3. The Vi-Spring mattress for a perfect night’s sleep. My ultimate luxury.

4. Silk scarves, cravats, neckties and pocket squares. I love all neckwear accessories. They are part of my dressing ritual and instinctive male inheritance.

5. Oribe hair products. The new ‘rough luxury moulding wax’  tames even the wildest of bad hair days.
